Conner Hoyt:
The recent and historic passage of the Infrastructure and Investment Jobs Act offers ample new opportunities for constituent engagement. Vital projects will be considered, authorized, and initiated in virtually every locality nationwide – bringing new jobs and infrastructure upon which citizens depend. One of the most effective and proven ways to engage with citizens is through virtual town halls.
To facilitate virtual town halls, Leidos teams with Broadnet, the industry’s leader in virtual town hall delivery. Broadnet’s Access Live technology offers the most authentic means of engagement as we continue to navigate the realities of post-COVID communications. During your conversation, citizens can be brought on the phone by moderators or polled about what’s going on in your community. Largely because of its versatility, several dozen federal, state and local agencies have counted on this technology in recent years.
Take the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), for example. CDOT has hosted more than 60 live events using Access Live technology since 2015, connecting more than 2 million citizens to upcoming infrastructure construction plans in their community.
Leidos enhances the Access Live experience by integrating it with our Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) solutions, Intranet Quorum (IQ) and IQ FedCloud. Users can craft the event to their preferred specifications and then easily import any data collected from the event into their IQ system. This makes follow up easy and enriches and extends the constituent engagement.
For instance, your office might want to reach all citizens within a certain zip code that have expressed interest in the infrastructure bill or another piece of legislation. Not a problem! Simply navigate to IQ’s native audience builder feature and drop in your specifications. You’ll be able to quickly access collected citizen responses to survey questions posed during your event, so that you can tailor your follow-up outreach to address their thoughts.
