Leidos remains a leader in connecting Members with thousands of constituents with communications tools like telephone town halls. Our town halls facilitate meaningful dialogue, allowing constituents to expect to hear from their Member of Congress regarding upcoming legislation, constituent services, and highlights of upcoming events and community initiatives. These events eventually become a staple tool in tenured Member offices by boosting name ID and increasing job approval ratings, making it more likely for constituents to categorize their Member as accessible and transparent. We provide dedicated support for your live events, allowing you to focus on crafting your message.
Think of telephone town halls as an entirely moderated and controlled mix of a radio show and TV engagement for Members. There are introductions, a Q&A format, and live polling with constituents on the line.
With an integrated tool like IQ, focusing efforts on key audiences—or constituents who have a low engagement score in IQ—is often how offices begin developing town hall call lists. A real example I provided above is hypertargeting DC’s liberal and moderate voters, who have voted in at least ¾ of the last elections and have a phone number on file. Determining your audience and chipping away on that list for each call is something I often see. We live stream the event on socials, send pre-call reminders prior to the event, conduct live polling and host a Q&A portion to further boost participation. Offices can instruct constituents to dial on their keypad to opt-into future town hall events and eNewsletters, enabling effective management of attendees and enhancing your outreach efforts.
I encourage all offices that I work with to leverage town halls; they are a bridge to your constituents, a way to listen, understand, and engage with the people you represent. Every call is an opportunity to reaffirm your commitment to serving them.
