In public service, constituent engagement is the name of the game. When discussing constituent engagement, it’s natural to think of casework and how offices can streamline it to help their constituents navigate the tricky world of federal agencies. That said, proactive outreach and engagement are effective catalysts for building and guiding the trust that makes you a key part of your constituents’ lives. Intranet Quorum (IQ) is poised to help you do just that. Here’s how:

1. Digital Ads

Digital advertising is a key piece of any outreach strategy. Unfortunately, digital ad campaigns of old were often laden with inaccurate traffic metrics because they failed to properly account for bots. Through a diverse set of digital ad methodologies, our partnership with Magnolia Digital has corrected for this, focusing your ads on those based on:

  • Keywords constituents have searched and/or websites they’ve navigated to;
  • Constituents’ home address;
  • Who has attended a given event

2. Leveraging Voter Data

To ensure your interactions with your constituents are as efficient as possible, IQ employs a data-first approach. And central to that strategy is our exclusive partnership with L2 Voter Data. Thanks to the partnership, you can rest assured in knowing that:

  • Your data will be refreshed and cleaned more often than any other voter data provider;
  • You’ll have hundreds of data points about each of your voters at your fingertips; and
  • Whereas with other CRMs, you would need to manually import/export and clean voter data, IQ boasts a seamless integration with L2. Once you create a voter universe in L2, it will be immediately available in IQ – cleaned, de-duped, and ready for you to leverage.

3. Social Media

As we spelled out in our last blog, a sound social media strategy is key to engaging your audience. And thankfully, IQ integrates with Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, so you can easily monitor and analyze social media chatter, while communicating with constituents without ever having to leave IQ. Likewise, when you receive direct messages, you can quickly respond to those through our Social Media Center, so you’re never missing key communications.

With the Social Media Center’s reporting capabilities, you’ll also have live views of how you’re performing on all your networks at a given time, reflecting 90, 30, and 7-day metrics.

4. SMS Texting

As with social media, texting is a great way to interact with constituents. It’s versatile, low cost, and isn’t time intensive. IQ offers two key methods for offices using SMS texting.

For mass campaigns, we recommend using our exclusive integration with Broadnet, whereby you can reach out to a constituent list with any criteria of your choice – just as you would with an Access Live Event! You’ll be able to send 50,000 texts per hour.

If you’re looking for an option for more personalized, individual texting, we recommend taking advantage of our integration with Twilio. If you have an account with Twilio, you can send and receive text messages in your IQ account. Think of this as a 1:1 transaction message: perhaps you have a constituent in need of casework help, this would probably be your preferred method!

Above all else, the key is to know your audience. These five approaches, especially when utilized in tandem, will give you an engagement strategy sure to be a winner.
