Skate into 2025

Start the 119th Congress right with an integrated communications strategy.

The First 90 Days

The first three months of every New Congress set the tone for the rest of the term. Let’s plan out your comms strategy.

January 2025

After swearing in on January 3, the most successful House offices will begin proactive outreach right away.

  • Send “thank you” newsletter using IQ
  • Use your IQ Bundle to prepare first official texting outreach campaign
  • Schedule design/planning meeting with IQ team for digital ad campaign
  • Host your first automated phone survey
  • Build your library of form letters as constituent mail begins flowing in

February 2025

As you begin to settle into the term, February is the perfect time to take further steps to establish your communications rhythm and tackle some important administrative tasks.

  • Procure any extra needed IT hardware (laptops, desktop PCs, printers, etc.)
  • Use your IQ Bundle to schedule your complimentary Telephone Town Hall
  • Send second mass text outlining legislative priorities and stances on key issues
  • Schedule web design and project planning meeting with Leidos

March 2025

As you wrap up the first quarter of the year, plan to use March to expand your outreach and introduce some new tools into your comms mix.

  • Extend your TourTrackr subscription as your free trial expires
  • Hold your second Telephone Town Hall
  • Plan and prepare your first Franked mailer
  • Use a third texting campaign to grow subscribers and promote events like your March Telephone Town Hall.

EstablishYourBrand

Your office’s visual identity helps build an emotional connection between the Member and constituents back home. Follow these steps to establish your office’s personal brand.

Choose a color scheme

Your office will need to settle on a set of
complimentary colors to help solidify the
Member’s digital “brand”. This color scheme can be used on your website, in your newsletter, in digital ads, and more. No artists on staff? We can help.

Set signature font

Lock in your Member’s signature font now and save time once you’re in office. It’s one more easy step we can walk you through so you can focus on legislating and engaging with your community in 2025.

Design your newsletter template

An early priority for your office should be to create a newsletter template so you can start messaging your constituents as soon as possible. Need help, just ask!

Data Acceptance&Staff IQ Training

Don’t forget these two simple steps that can have a major impact on your ability to engage with constituents in the first weeks and months of the new term.

Accept Inherited Data

Is your office inheriting constituent data from a predecessor?  If so, there is some simple paperwork to complete before you can formally accept it. Our team can guide you through this process so that you have access to this data as early as possible.  Not sure about your data inheritance status?  Reach out to your Account Manager directly or contact our team for help.

Book IQ Training

IQ is intuitive and easy to use, but it’s always smart to get core staff some early exposure to the IQ platform through our online training curriculum.  Virtual classes are offered nearly every day of the week covering all the most important functionality for Congressional offices.  Browse our training calendar and sign up for as many classes as you like, at no extra cost.
